I haven't really updated in a while cause quite frankly there really hasn't been much going on in my life. I've traveled quite a bit the past few weekends and will be traveling somewhere every weekend for the next couple months. I'll finally have some vacation time in May to spend a week traveling around the country with the girl.
I realized that living in NYC has changed me in many ways. Some for the better others for the worse. I think everyone should live here for a year or two at least. It really changes your outlook on things. I've grown more impatient with certain people esp. some of those in Dallas. I'm not used to slow people anymore and at times I miss the hustle and bustle of NYC. I miss the convenience of it and how you can just walk around the corner to get a good meal 24/7.
I miss my home back in VA and spending time there with the family. I love them to death but only in small amounts of time. Anything more than a weekend, and they'll drive me crazy. My mom suspects that I might make a move out to Cali. at some point, but she just doesn't want me doing it anytime soon.
It's funny when you look at everything in hindsight. Things become much clearer. You realize what your true priorities are and what things need to be pushed out of your life. You start realizing it's the simple things in life that make you happy. A conversation with a friend at night. Catching up with someone you haven't talked to in a while. Enjoying a good meal with those that you care about and love. You start valuing and cherishing the time that you spend with friends even if it's just but for a few moments. Time seems to start moving a lot faster the older that you get.
When you think about where you'll be in a few years more often than not it doesn't turn out the way that you think. For me, where I'm at today is not even close to where I thought I would be. In fact, I'm in a better place than I thought.

i wonder if you'll feel the same when you're having babies! "where I'm at today is not even close to where I thought I would be." haha! happy Friday!
i musta complicated it a lot. thank you for always being there.
we had a conversation about this many moons ago lol
things really do happen when you least expect it. I think as we get older....we know what bullshit not to deal with so our patience is just more thin. i'm the most impatient person in the whole world.
hahhah 10 days with the old ball and chain huh? u must be excited
Yea that's why I stop planning...actually I never started =P
most of us are in the same boat at this pt of our lives... have a safe and happy flight!
