Haha, your past relationship was actually the exact opposite of mine...if you had only read that entry about our relationship, I can understand why it seems like my parents don't approve of him. But I've written a few entries in the past giving more insight into our relationship, and my parents were actually too involved. They absolutely adore him, and they began manipulating him to control me. For example, I didn't notice when I was younger (we began dating when I was 14, so it's been nearly 5 years) but they wouldn't let me hang out with my guy friends or groups of friends if there were guys there. I had a curfew when I was with my friends, but they trusted him so much that I could stay out as late as I wanted. I know most girls can only dream about their parents adoring their boyfriend, but this went to the extreme. After we broke up last Thanksgiving and got back together over Christmas, I questioned myself because I knew that I did it to please my parents, rather than myself (hence why my friends think I'm a doormat!) I began to feel like I was trapped in an arranged relationship, because they were constantly pressuring me about marriage. My parents were only trying to protect me, but they were actually pushing me towards the things I didn't want, and I began wondering what else was out there. So after things started falling apart this year, I decided to call it quits yesterday.

P.S. About your past entry, I also wrote an entry about cheating a few weeks back. I agree that it is not always the act of cheating, but the underlying feelings that go with it. I also thought I could never forgive someone after cheating, but when my boyfriend did it to me a few years ago, I carefully took everything into consideration and I was able to restore my trust in him again. He never did it again, and now I believe in second chances. As for this entry, I'm also tired of the news and our legal system is going downhill.
